Ransomware and extortion operations continue to target organizations worldwide
Ransomware leak sites and reporting showed continued activity from groups such as Qilin, DragonForce, Akira, Play, Incransom, and others against companies, schools, hospitals, and public-sector organizations across many countries. The articles themselves were sparse, but taken together they show a steady tempo of attacks against logistics, healthcare, education, manufacturing, finance, and local government. Several incidents involved service disruptions, while others were only public claims on leak sites, but the pattern illustrates how broad and persistent the ransomware ecosystem remains. This matters because ransomware is still one of the most common and disruptive threats facing organizations of every size. The repeated targeting of critical services and third-party providers shows that attackers continue to monetize access wherever they can. Even when details are thin, the volume of claims signals ongoing pressure across the global threat landscape.
