The PA can use ANPR data via PDND
Access to ANPR data via PDND is becoming a crucial turning point for the digitalization of the Italian Public Administration. From July 1, 2026, PAs and operators of public services can use data already available to the State to reduce repeated requests, certificates, and manual steps. The main benefit is simplification, but the model also requires clear rules on who can access the data and under what controls. For citizens and businesses, this can mean less bureaucracy and faster times. For the public system, however, it is a test of the ability to make databases and services communicate without increasing privacy risks.
